Carlson Turner Books is a traditional Antiquarian and used book store located in Portland, Maine. We've been in business since the late 1970's. The shop is housed in a three story Victorian era (1888) building in the trendy East End area of Portland.
The shop houses more than 40,000 antiquarian, scholarly, and used books, including a large inventory of general used books in various categories, including: Scholarly books in various fields, Nautical, Travel, Civil War, History, Railroad, Maine related, as well as many others. We also deal in rare manuscripts, maps, photographs and fine art prints.
We also offer full BOOKBINDING services. All types of repairs, leather, cloth, etc. Custom boxes and slipcases, simple to elaborate. Professional folios for artists and photographers, high end bookbindings and folios for corporate gifts or presentations.
Lastly, we offer Letterpress printing services. Small broadsides, cards, invitations, even books in small print runs.

Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
